Meet Model Lydia Livingood
I am an artist so I love how creative I can be with modeling. My goal is to be my own boss, able to travel when I want and support myself with my art business and modeling.
What/who inspires you?
Tyra Banks, Yolanda Hadid and Ellen Degeneres, because they focus on their goals and never give up.
In their shows, they work on the whole person. They’re not focusing on the looks, it’s about putting in the work to be your best self and sharing it with the world, and you don’t have to cut others down in order to succeed. Living your passion is possible for anyone, if you believe in yourself.
Anywhere tropical and near the beach.
What did you want to be as a child?
I’ve always loved art, and I wanted to be an actress when I was 4. After high school I gave modeling a shot and fell in love with it.
How long have you been modeling?
I started modeling in 2009 in Kansas City. I have been traveling and moving around for the last few years and just moved to San Diego, where I’ve picked it up again.
I believe modeling is an art form, so my favorite thing to shoot is high fashion or editorial because you can be really creative. You can go crazy with the hair, makeup, and poses. Anything goes.
What about your style makes you so unique?
I can pull off a variety of looks, and have a background in theatre so I get into character for a shoot. I base my poses off the style of the setting, makeup, outfits, and photographer.
